While many chose to stay indoors to avoid the snow and ice Monday, some would not let it affect their Presidents Day plans — including Vice President Joe Biden, who took a trip up to Baltimore to visit the National Aquarium.

Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, came to check out the facility's aquatic life on Monday, according to a tweet and Facebook post by the National Aquarium.

"We were thrilled to have @VP and @DrBiden pay us a visit on this snowy #PresidentsDay!" the aquarium tweeted, along with a picture that showed the Bidens watching a girl pet a stingray at the "Living Seashore" exhibit.

We can only wonder if Biden dared to touch the stingray himself, and if he and his family paid a visit to the recently named baby turtle, Sheldon.
