Uber's 'Roll with a Raven' hits some bumps as Ray Rice, sponsors pull out

Want to take a car ride with Ray Rice?

You'll have to wait on that. Uber Baltimore's "Roll with a Raven" promotion lost a bit of its mojo overnight as several participants and partners pulled out of the deal for today's event.

One of them was Ray Rice. The others include just about every other sponsor - Under Armour, Natty Boh and Mother's Grille.

Justin Tucker is the only confirmed Ravens player who will be available today, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., when fans can pay $50 to hitch a 10-15 minute ride in downtown Baltimore.

An Uber spokeswoman blamed the revisions on "last minute schedule changes and lots of little things."

Uber, which has offered hirable sedans in Baltimore since January, says fans can still use its app to summon a player on-demand for a 10- to 15-minute ride. Participants can take up to three friends along and all rides will end at Fells Point Square.
