Baltimore's mayor, it turns out, has a soft spot for big fuzzy dogs and the two-time winner of the sexiest man alive title.
Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, speaking Friday on Mix 106.5's Jojo and Reagan show, had a bit more fun than she usually seems to.
She gabbed about trying to snap a picture of Bo Obama on a trip to the White House and about her brush last year with the "really cute" (as she put it) George Clooney.
The two met last November while Clooney was in Baltimore to take in the Ravens/Bengals game. He was there, in an elbow sling, with his girlfriend, Baltimore native Stacy Keibler. And the two apparently ran into each other -- perhaps at her skybox.
"George Clooney was adorable," she told listeners, implying that she got kinda up-close-and-personal with the actor because "it was a tight situation."
"We were close and talking," the mayor said, adding that the conversation turned to his movie at the time, "Ides of March." "He was really interested in politics so it was nice."
She added, with something like a giggle: "He's really cute."
The hosts then threw Rawlings-Blake a bit of a curve ball by asking what Clooney smelled like. (Always something a mayor is dying to do -- admit that they sniff "really cute" actors.) (Or any actors.) (Or, really, anyone.)
"I don't remember," she told them. "I was very transfixed on his eyes."
She also told listeners about being at the White House and trying to get a picture of Bo Obama for her daughter. She was foiled though, because Bo happened to be in a part of the White House where pictures aren't allowed.
When asked by the host if she's pocketed any White House momentos as keepsakes, a napkin or some candy, she played coy, saying, "No comment."
