The Democratic National Convention saw many supporters of former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders refusing to accept that Hillary Clinton was named the nominee. And there was one fan "still fighting the good fight" for Martin O'Malley.Actor Richard Kind took to the DNC for "The Last O'Malley Supporter" comedic skit for CBS' "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert," which also featured a cameo from the former Maryland governor and former Baltimore mayor who had run for the Democratic presidential nomination."Listen, a fight isn't over until it's over, you know? So I thought that it was important to come here even though my candidate wasn't the guy," he said.Kind raved about O'Malley being "a real fighter" despite him dropping out of the presidential race in February and his ability to play rock guitar among DNC attendees — all in a homemade "Martin for America" T-shirt."Martin O'Malley for president!" he yelled. "He spoke twice during the debates! They asked him a question once, but he spoke twice. You don't remember? From Baltimore."Kind tried to recruit attendees to the cause, following some through the crowd."O'Malley is my pal-ey!" he chanted, before asking for a hug from Sue Kopen Katcef, a University of Maryland broadcast journalism professor who also attended the convention. Finally, Kind ran into O'Malley, to whom he revealed his undying support and willingness to stage a walkout."Listen, Richard, I really appreciate your enthusiasm, man. I really, really do. but it's time to knock it off. It's time to get behind Hillary Clinton, OK?" O'Malley said. "Stop already, and let's be honest, this isn't the first time we've had this conversation. The country needs you, Richard. Be for Hillary.""Okay, how about in four years?" Kind said. You can watch the full skit above.
