Isn't he fab? Goucher grad, Fab.com co-founder receives alumni award

Bradford Shellhammer, co-founder of Fab.com, a website billed as "the world's design store," received the Goucher Alumni Award Friday.

Shellhammer has become a star in the design world through his keen business instincts and good taste.

He's been named one of the "100 Most Creative People in Business" by Fast Company and he's been dubbed the "King of Quirk" by Forbes Magazine and the "Eames of E-Commerce" by USA Today.

After graduating from Goucher College in 1998 with a degree in communication and media studies, he received a graduate degree in fashion design from Parsons The New School For Design in New York.

Shellhammer went on to help create Fab.com, a company that generated $120 million in sales its first year. He recently launched Bezar, a member's only e-commerce startup offering curated pieces in art, home, jewelry, and accessories.
