"Who wants to be a millionaire"? Apparently Fox 45 reporter Keith Daniels does.

The local newsman appeared on the program today, competing for the grand prize of $1 million.

Even more surreal for Baltimore viewers, his appearance -- taped in October -- was part of By the Decade Week. Today's decade was the 70s, which resulted in Daniels and host Cedric the Entertainer dressing in leisure suits and bushy wigs.

"Yes, it was me," tweeted Daniels (@KeithDFox45), with a picture capturing the insanity. "So much fun!"

Daniels got the self-described "game show bug" after he competed on "The Price is Right" about 10 years ago and won a Geo Prism.

This time, he walked away without a car or the big prize; he worked his way up to $18,000, but lost it all and was given a $1,000 consolation prize.

What tripped him up?

The question was the name of the Pillsbury Doughboy's son back in the '70s. Daniels was sure he was right when he selected Little Muffin, but in fact the correct answer was Bun Bun.

Daniels explained to The Baltimore Sun why he likes doing these appearances:

"We see blood and guts and doom all day," he said. "Some people drink, I do game shows."
