Former Ravens running back Ray Rice and his wife, Janay, are expecting their second child, according to a spokesman for the Rice family.
The two were married in March 2014 -- the day after Ray Rice was charged with aggravated assault against Janay Palmer, then his fiancee -- and have a 4-year-old daughter, Rayven. Ray, 29, and Janay, 28, will welcome their newest addition in early fall.
The couple has not yet disclosed the baby's gender, according to Rice's spokesman.
The two were thrust into the limelight after a domestic violence incident in an Atlantic City casino in February 2014. TMZ produced video footage of Rice dragging Palmer out of an elevator. Rice was indicted on aggravated assault charges on March 27; the two married March 28.
Rice entered a pretrial program to clear his legal record, and the NFL suspended him for two games.
That September, TMZ released additional video showing Rice punching Palmer. Rice then was released from the Ravens and placed on indefinite suspension by the NFL. Rice appealed the suspension later that year and has since been a free agent.
