Duff Goldman's empire of sweets continues to grow.

The Baltimore native, who has already opened both a branch of his bakery and a cake-decorating shop in Los Angeles, says he plans to next open a pastry shop.

He hinted about the plans several months ago when speaking to The Sun but he confirmed it to Zagat.com, saying it will be a retail shop on Beverly Boulevard.

"I want to do the exact opposite of Charm City Cakes," he told Zagat. "There will be all kinds of pastries and ... a bunch of really really good stuff."

Goldman said he wants a chance to show off his skills with not just wildly imaginative cakes, but things like scones, pies and petit fours.

He promised Zagat there would also be "really, really kickass coffee."

Goldman opened Charm City Cakes in Baltimore in 2002, a venture made famous in the Food Network show "Ace of Cakes." He opened the Los Angeles branch of the bakery, Charm City Cakes West, last year. A few months ago he opened a shop called CakeMix where people can decorate their own cakes. Recently Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner brought their kids there for a day out.

Don't let your mouth water too much for Duff scones though. His people tell Insider it's more of a plan for down the road.
