Bill Clinton is coming to Baltimore

Bill's coming!

Former President Bill Clinton will headline Stevenson University's just-announced speakers series.

He'll open the 2012-2013 series on Oct. 16 with a talk about the challenge of globalization.

Here's the rest of the university's lineup, announced Wednesday:

Oct. 30 – Author Jeanette Walls, best known for her best-selling memoir "The Glass Castle."

Nov. 27 – Lisa Ling, a former correspondent for "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Jan. 15, 2013 – P.W. Singer, an expert in 21st century warfare and a consultant for theU.S. Department of Defense and the Federal Bureau of Investigation

Feb. 14, 2013 – Erskine Bowles, Clinton's former White House chief of staff and co-chair of the bi-partisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.

March 19, 2013 – Vicente Fox, president of Mexico from 2000 through 2006.

April 16, 2013 – Nando Parrado survived a 1972 plane crash in the Andes Mountains on his way to a rugby tournament. The crash and his team's struggle for survival was the basis for the book and movie "Alive."

Each event, except Bowles, begins at 8 p.m. on Tuesday nights at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The Bowles talk is 8 p.m. on a Thursday. Tickets are sold by series subscription only, with prices ranging from $265 to $395 per person.
