Devin Allen, the 26-year-old West Baltimore photographer whose image of a protestor running during the riots following Freddie Gray's death was featured on the cover of "Time," will speak at an event this Friday.
Allen will be the featured speaker at Creative Mornings at 8:30 a.m. at Center Stage.
Allen is a self-taught photographer who has mostly focused on fashion and street scenes, yet he captured one of the most iconic images of the unrest in Baltimore.
Tickets to the talk -- which is free and includes breakfast -- are available here.
Creative Mornings is a monthly lecture and breakfast. May's theme, in light of recent events, is "revolution."
Organizers hope the event will help "direct the city's path towards positive change," according to a news release.
