A baby sloth was born at the National Aquarium on Monday, March 30, 2015. Both mom and baby seem to be fine.
Welcome to Baltimore, Felize! The National Aquarium today announced the March 30 birth of a Linee's two-toed sloth, the fifth born at the aquarium since 2008.
Felize will make its home at the aquarium's Upland Tropical Rain Forest area.
"The sloths at the National Aquarium provide a rare opportunity for guests and staff alike to be inspired by these amazing animals," Debra Dial, National Aquarium senior aviculturist stated in a press release. "We are absolutely thrilled to welcome our newest addition to the Rain Forest family."
