Author Lizzie Skurnick hosts "That Should Be a Word" party Wednesday

Skurnick, a Johns Hopkins University Writing Seminars graduate and former Baltimore resident, wrote a feature by the same name for the New York Times Magazine.

We published a profile of Skurnick last year after she launched an imprint to republish classics of young adult literature.

The event will not be dominated by grammandos (those who constantly correct others' grammar mistakes), and hopefully everyone will avoid wordition (being cornered by someone who won't stop talking). Instead, guests will enjoy a playful celebration of a the plyability of English.
