Make the "kids' table" extra fun this year with these Thanksgiving-themed treats. The healthy Veggie Turkeys also make a great snack to share with the classroom.
Veggie Turkeys
Materials:
Clear plastic cups
Craft Glue
Red, brown & orange paper
Googly eyes
Mixed veggies (carrots, peppers, celery)
Directions:
1. Cut a thumb-shaped piece of brown paper about the height of the cup.
2. Cut a small orange triangle for the beach, and a red peanut shape for the wattle. Attach both with glue.
3. Glue on two googly eyes.
4. Fill cups with veggies.
Pilgrim Hats
Materials:
Chocolate wafer cookies or Fudge Stripes
Peanut butter cups
White (or orange) cookie icing
Directions:
1. Refrigerate both cookies and chocolates before starting project. Both will be easier to handle.
2. Flip a peanut butter cup upside down and attached to the bottom of a Fudge Round with a dab of icing.
3. Pipe a ring of icing around the base of the peanut butter cup.
4. Make a small rectangle on the side of the peanut butter cup.
Candy Cornucopia
Materials:
Sugar Ice Cream Cones
Autumn Mix of candy corn & pumpkins
Directions:
1. Fill a sugar cone with candy.
2. Lay sugar cone on its side. Let some of the candy spill out onto the plate or table.
