Huge pie fight scheduled in Columbia

I scream, you scream, we all scream for shaving cream.

Gregory May, owner of the Center Ring Circus School in Columbia, is hoping to set a world record on March 22 for the "largest shaving cream pie fight." He says it will fulfill a life-long dream -- and raise money for Bridges to Housing Stability, a non-profit that fights homelessness in Howard County.

"This is a family fun event," May said in a statement. "A chance for anyone of any age to get into the record books, and into astronomical amounts of shaving cream -- all for a great cause."

Along with the pie fight, the Orioles bird will be in attendance, and there will also be stilt walkers, trapeze shows, juggling lessons, music, and balloon sculptors.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and fight time is 11:00. For more information and to register, visit crowdrise.com/piefight.
