Admission to Port Discovery will be free on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
"Visitors will have the opportunity to honor Dr. King's dream, and experience the rich African-American history through interactive programs," according to a release from the museum. "Enjoy baseball memorabilia from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and meet former player Luther Atkinson. Learn the art of quilt making with the African-American Quilters of Baltimore. Meet African-American historians with the Northwood Elementary Living Museum of African-American History and participate in a community service activity."
The free admission is courtesy of UnitedHealthCare and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit portdiscovery.org.
