Stepping Out for Breast Cancer

Laurie Sklar has dedicated her life to fitness. The personal trainer has run 10 marathons — including the Boston Marathon in 2003. And she currently works as a yoga instructor at Padonia Brick Bodies and at the Ritz-Carlton residence. “Usually my only accessory is my Fitbit and my diamond earrings,” she laughs. “Or I’m in yoga clothes: Lululemon or Athleta.”

At the Stepping Out for Breast Cancer fundraiser, the mother of four adult children ditched her regular workout garb for this dressy black ensemble.

“I love this jumpsuit,” she says. “It is so easy. You just put it on and go.”

She bought the jumpsuit from Boutique W for a bar mitzvah in April.

“I walked in the boutique as they were closing. They were so nice,” she says.

She completed the look with a ruffled shawl, which she says she’s had for years.

“I feel dressed up,” she says. “I don’t feel like I’m teaching yoga. But I’m the same person on the inside.”

Her ensemble: Black jumpsuit from Boutique W in Lutherville’s Green Spring Station. Born wedges she’s had “for years.” Ruffled shawl from the now-closed Jones & Jones; Cartier watch, floating diamond necklace by Chopard and diamond earrings from J. Brown Jewelers. Ippolita bracelets from Radcliffe Jewelers. And a Tory Burch crossbody purse from Nordstrom.
