Lisa Harris Jones, 46, might not have been hitting the dance floor herself at the Memory Ball, which raised money for research into Alzheimer's Disease and care and support services for patients and their families. But the Maryland lawyer/lobbyist -- who was in the news quite a bit after Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake officiated at her Las Vegas wedding last year -- had some inspiration for wearing a dress that had a dance-y feel to it. Her mother, Michelle Harris Bondima, was one of the 10 competitors in the evening's "Dancing with the Stars"-style contest. "I'm so excited. We came last year and [said] Mom's gotta dance, because she danced on the Buddy Deane Show. She won a contest," said the Ruxton resident, adding that her mom danced on what was then known as "Negro Day" on the old show and which was famously depicted in the film "Hairspray." Harris Jones said another TV show -- the one on which the night's competition was based -- influenced her choice of accessories. "I wanted to be fun," she said. "I thought this [handbag and cuff] were like 'Dancing with the Stars,' with the crystals. Really spring-y and fun." HER STYLE: "I like things that are timeless. I want things that 10 years from now I can still wear. I just love clothes." HER ENSEMBLE: Halston Heritage navy lace textured strapless princess cut dress from Jones & Jones. White House/Black Market black knit shrug. Diamond pendant her husband gave her on their wedding day. Jimmy Choo navy glitter peep-toe platform pumps from Bergdorf Goodman. Crystal and gold bow on turquoise leather cuff and crystal encrusted turquoise clutch, both from Prada in New York City. Cartier watch that was a gift. VALUE OVER THE LONG HAUL: "If I'm going to buy something that's high-end and going to cost a lot of money, I want to make sure it's something I'll have a long time. ... Like, with this purse, I can grab it five or six years from now with white jeans and a white T-shirt, and it'll still be cute." PARTICULAR ABOUT PRADA: "The way they design the clothes fit me perfectly. Even for business attire, it's not too flashy. It's classic." BUT IT'S ALL ABOUT ACCESSORIES: "If your shoes, your accessories and your purse are nice, who cares what's in between?" THIS SEASON'S FASHION PASSION: "I bought two [of these cuffs] to stack. I was excited about the cuffs that came out in [Prada's] collection this year. My husband wasn't. But I was."
