Towson University grad Brandon Broady hosting new BET series

Brandon Broady has appeared on "The Wire" and in the first two "Step Up" films, opened for comedians Cedric the Entertainer and Donnell Rawlings and has created several popular song spoofs under the name "Para-Deez."

And now he's hosting his own show.

The Silver Spring native, who graduated from Towson University in 2008 with degrees in acting and electronic media and film, is the ringmaster for "The Xperiment," a daily comedic variety show premiering 5 p.m. March 2 on BET.

Here's a description of the show from a press release: "Hosted by the incredible funnyman Brandon Broady and his mötley crüe of friends this game-changing and dope new show "THE XPERIMENT" will showcase celebrity guests, parody fare, buzz-worthy viral clips, comedic sketches, man on the street segments, viewer participation, music and more LMAO moments -- pretty much anything that is sure to surface on your timeline!"

According to the press release and Broady's website, he honed his craft while hosting various events while at Towson University, ranging from parties and fashion shows to concerts. He also acted in plays in high school and college.

Broady, who now lives in Los Angeles, has guest hosted the BET music video show "106 and Park."
