Adam and Gwen were the first to wipe sweat off their foreheads when America saved Amy Vachal and Braiden Sunshine on last night's elimination round. And finally, Pharrell decided to take his shades off.
Rumor has it, he's still recovering from a black eye after a flying spatula incident raised eyebrows on the red carpet last week. Harmful kitchen tools or not, it was definitely easier to see what our coach was thinking without the extra accessory.
But sunglasses on or off, it was obvious Pharrell wasn't looking too happy last night. Once again, the coach lost another artist when Korin Bukowski, representing Team Gwen, knocked Evan McKeel off the stage during the live Twitter vote.
It was a pretty close call, but for the second time, Korin was saved by social media — and Gwen's pleas.
Although we said goodbye to another talented artist, we said hello to a familiar face when guest adviser Brad Paisley hit the stage singing his single, "Country Nation." Lucky for Blake, his team is still going strong thanks to Brad's help earlier this season.
Zach Seabaugh secured his spot on next week's live show, along with Emily Ann Roberts and Barrett Baber.
And it was no surprise when all members on Team Adam were safe as well. But, what was surprising was that traumatic mix-up midway through the show. Carson Daily shocked us all when he accidentally announced that an artist from Team Adam was safe from eliminations when in fact, it was Jeffery Austin from Team Gwen who was moving on.
Despite that awkward hiccup, there were some great moments during the live show. Team Gwen delivered a solid performance with their rendition of the New Radicals' "You Get What You Give" and Team Adam also showed off their vocal skill-set when the group sang "Wouldn't It Be Nice" by the Beach Boys.
We also got a glimpse of all the artists celebrating Thanksgiving as they sat around the dinner table playing games, brought together by their love for music.
Another blessing? Every artist landed a spot on iTune's Top 100! Eliminations are inevitable but it's obvious that these contestants have a lot to be thankful for.
