'The Bachelorette' recap: the Fantasy Suite dates

(ABC)

In tonight's episode, we are taken back to the airplane hangar where JoJo is ready to send one man home. Luke, a man who believes unicorns are real, interrupts her to take her aside and tell her he is in love with her, which sends her into tears. After she calms down, she addresses the men and offers the three remaining roses to Jordan, the "former professional quarterback" who should really just say, "I'm Aaron Rodgers' brother," Robby, the former professional swimmer who used hashtags in his bio, and Chase, the guy who has gotten through life (and this season) by doing everything he's supposed to and nothing more, meaning Luke is going home despite his last attempt at confessing his love for JoJo.

Through tears, JoJo walks a baffled Luke outside where she tells him she's going to miss him, which is something you say to someone you're breaking up with, obviously. Then we see Luke get into the limo and like 10 minutes of them both crying, which is definitely the intro to Luke as the next Bachelor.

Once all of that is over, we are in Thailand for the fantasy suite dates.

FIRST FANTASY SUITE DATE: ROBBY

Robby meets JoJo at a Taiwanese market where the two shop through a downpour before stopping for a Thai massage. Because you know, Thailand. No surprise at all, they talk about Robby's ex-girlfriend again because we're never getting over this.

We've made it to the hometown date episode on "The Bachelorette," which is my favorite despite the fact that I know exactly what's going to happen.

When they head to dinner, JoJo immediately brings up her fantasy suite date with Ben last season and if I were playing a drinking game where every time she brought up Ben I had to drink, I'd be dead. Immediately following, they talk again about Robby's ex and Robby gives JoJo a note that his "dad wrote," telling him not to get down on himself because it's clear that Robby loves JoJo. The last note my dad wrote me was when I was away at summer camp and that was 20 years ago.

Robby makes a dig at Ben, and JoJo offers him the fantasy suite. He clearly accepts, making his note-writing dad proud.

Robby then tells us that he wants to be the guy that is late to work because he doesn't want to leave JoJo in the morning and also the guy that leaves work early to get home to her, and I worry about the former competitive swimmer's work ethic.

The next morning, we see the two of them in bed together, and Robby's hair hasn't moved an inch, which isn't very promising for what might have happened overnight.

JoJo tells us that she is in love with Robby while staring at his hair.
