We start out on this week's "Survivor" with Vanua after Tribal Council, and David is feeling pretty good about voting Cece off. Zeke is also happy, because now the Gen Xers are in the minority on all three tribes. Whoops. Don't know if Chris and David thought that part through.
Over at the new camp at Ikabula, everyone is really, really, hungry. So Jay decides to go find some food. He grew up with only his mother and his sister, and he says that he's used to taking care of them. While he's out there, he's also looking for an Immunity Idol.
He finds the tribe stamp on a log and breaks it apart — and finds the Idol. Michaela comes upon Jay and Will right when they unwrap it, so now she knows about it too.
Reward challenge time! Figgy is super happy to see that Michelle survived Tribal Council, which is a bit of a slip. It's one of those blindfolded challenges that usually end up with a lot of player taking a hit. Reward is milk, cookies and apple pie; second place gets cookies. Oh, they've also adding spinning while blindfolded. This should end well.
The callers seem to be doing well, but David is really bad at taking directions. Like, really, really bad. Michelle is going hoarse trying to tell him which way to go. Chris eventually has to get involved, but David is still messing up. Takali is the first to start the puzzle, but guess what? They're still blindfolded.
Ikabula is the next to start their puzzle, and then Vanua finally gets all their pieces and also starts. Hannah isn't even competing in the challenge, but she's feeling faint. Jeff takes her off to the side (which she already was, so I guess more to the side?).
Figgy and Ken had the lead, but Zeke and Michelle are working really well together, and Vanua comes from behind to win the reward. Followed by Ikabula, who get the cookies, which mean Takali goes home with nothing.
But while this is going on, Hannah is feeling worse. Her face is tingling and her arms are going numb. She can't tell if she's panicking or she's dehydrated, so they call medical in. Apparently it was a panic attack, which Hannah is already somewhat familiar with. Add that to being probably dehydrated and near-starving, and you get the physical symptoms Hannah had.
Vanua is talking with their mouths full because they are enjoying their cookies and pie. Zeke realizes he might be better off with the Gen Xers, since he's on the bottom of the pile with the Millennials. He's not wrong.
Hannah is upset that she showed weakness, but Sunday reassures her that they're all in the same boat and being pushed to their limits.
At Takali, Figgy and Taylor are doing the worst job in the world at keeping their relationship secret. They think they have no reason to hide it. That might be a little bit of overconfidence. Taylor has also dubbed them "Figtayls," which, gag.
Figgy takes Jessica and Ken aside and lets them in on the big "secret." They both already knew, because they have eyes and ears and aren't complete idiots. Ken realizes that he needs to make a move against them in order to stay in the game. I think Adam might be up for that, Ken. Go ask him.
Immunity Challenge time! There's swimming and floating balance beams and a ball maze thing. They start out, and David actually isn't bad at it. And Ken is. That's a bit of a surprise. Jay is better at both of them. Taylor helps Takali catch up, and they're the first with all their balls, and are the first to start the table maze. They also have to balance on a tiny post while they maneuver the maze.
Vanua is the last to start, but it's Michelle and Zeke, so they will probably catch up. Michaela pretty much orders Hannah around, who is not happy. But she does what Michaela says, and she did the right thing because they are the first finished and win immunity.
Michaela then helps Zeke and Michelle, who had been struggling. Taylor doesn't look super impressed with that, as Jessica and Figgy struggle to get their second ball in place.
With Michaela's help, Zeke and Michelle catch up, and win the other immunity. Jeff asks about the helping, and Michaela claims that she did it so Millennials won't go home (since Vanua has even numbers). Taylor protests that there are Millennials on Takali, too, but Michaela rightly points out that they have the majority, and if they can't figure it out, they deserve to go home.
So will Adam flip? No matter what Figgy and Taylor promise him, he has to know that he's not part of their final four — not while Jay and Michelle are still in the game (although I would like both Jay and Michelle to split from Taylor and Figgy.)
Figgy and Adam talk, and they decide they need to get rid of Ken, because he will be a big threat once they go individual. Taylor agrees and it seems the plan is set. Taylor has a moment of doubt about Adam, but then decides Adam's not smart enough flip on them. I really hope that statement comes back to bite him in the butt.
Jessica takes a very calm, low-pressure tack with Adam, and I think it's the right way to go. Jess tells Ken to go reassure Adam that they have his back, so he does exactly that. He points out that Figgy and Taylor are not likely to take him to the end.
Tribal Council time! Figgy and Taylor look super happy and confident, even though Adam voted for Figgy once already. Then we talk about Figgy and Taylor for a while, and Jeff offers to marry them. Sure, that'll happen. Figgy keeps giggling, and Jessica looks like she'd like to stab her with a fork. If they had forks.
Figgy also claims that she's still thinking strategically, but by Ken's expression, he has his doubts. Adam admits that he's in the middle — either he sticks with the Millennials, or jumps with the Gen Xers. Taylor points out the the Millennials have the majority overall, and it might go badly for Adam if he betrays them.
Voting time! We don't see any of the votes this week. Figgy is finally starting to look nervous. First vote is for Ken, the next is for Figgy, and again one for Ken and one for Figgy. So who did Adam vote for? He totally voted for Figgy, and she's the one going home. I must admit, it brought a smile to my face.
Taylor looks shocked, and Adam claims he will try to explain. Do you think he'll accept any explanation about how it was better for Adam strategically? No, because Taylor doesn't care, and he actually expected everyone else to do what was better for him and Figgy.
Next week: Taylor's out for vengeance.
