'Real Housewives of New Jersey' season finale recap, 'Judgement Day'

After this season's finale of "Real Housewives of New Jersey," it's safe to say I have never witnessed a "Housewives" finale that was so emotional yet very boring.

The episode begins with Teresa G. walking into her Oct. 2 court case. She eventually finds out she is going to jail for 15 months, which sets a depressing tone. The episode then cuts back to six months prior.

Melissa brings her kids over to play with Teresa G.'s kids. They both emphasize to their kids how it is important that they support each other.

Dina is finalizing plans for her Project Ladybug event. The Twins' friend, Abbey, lets Dina hold the event at her lavish, 31,000-square-foot mansion. Yes, 31,000 square feet. I'm pretty sure that is the size of the Duggars' home. However, they have 19 kids.

Dina is worried there will be drama at the charity event, which is understandable. According to "Housewife" history, whenever there is a charity event, usually a weave is pulled or someone is chased down. Her fears are very rational.

Melissa and her husband, Joe, break ground on a new house. Melissa reiterates throughout the episode how happy she is that she and Teresa G. are in a good place.

Amber gets her first haircut since finding out she was cancer-free about five years ago. After she was done with chemo, she decided to just let her hair grow out, so this was a very emotional haircut.

Amber decides not to bring Jim and her kids to the Project Ladybug event because she doesn't want any drama to start. Good move, Amber! At the event, she pulls Rino aside to apologize for any issues she may have started and says she wants to move on. Rino accepts her apology and agrees.

The Twins: Other Teresa is still mad at Teresa G. for telling people about the rumor involving Rino and other Teresa's mom. The Twins want to apologize to Teresa G. and clear the air. You would think this would spark a fight, with table flipping and weave pulling, but nope. The only drama that happens is that the Twins call Teresa G. stupid, which we all know is her trigger word to flip out.

Teresa G. proves that she is cool, calm and collected; she doesn't flip out. They agree that when they hear rumors about each other, they will address it directly. But if it is about other people in their family, they won't spread the information.

Such a kumbaya moment.

The episode then cuts back to the day of Teresa G.'s trial. All the housewives are filmed throughout the day anticipating Teresa G. and Joe's verdict. At around 1 p.m., Joe's verdict is announced (he gets three-and-a-half years in jail) and Jacqueline calls Kathy freaking out.

Jacqueline and her husband Chris then go over to Kathy's house, where Rosie is. At around 4 p.m., they find out that Teresa G. is sentenced to go to jail for 15 months. (Joe and Teresa G.'s sentences are staggered. She goes in on Jan. 5,  and when she is done, he heads to jail.)

Jacqueline and Kathy start crying. It then cuts to other housewifes who have shocked expressions as well.

Overall, this season of "Jersey Housewives" had a different tone than past seasons -- maybe because there were new housewives or because we were on the edge of our seats anticipating Teresa G.'s sentencing. The reunion is next week; I can already tell I will cry. The preview shows Teresa G. telling Andy Cohen that this is probably her last reunion ever.
