Between dishing out his expertise on the Food Network and creating decadent desserts at his pastry shop Charm City Cakes, celebrity pastry chef Duff Goldman's baking skills are evident. It's safe to say that most of us aren't nearly as skilled.

But this October, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County alum will give some vital pointers.

Goldman and his co-host, TV chef Lorraine Pascale, will attempt to transform 12 of the most terrible bakers in the country into pastry virtuosos on Food Network's new show "Worst Bakers in America," a spinoff of "Worst Cooks in America."

Goldman and Pascale will split the group into two competing teams, leading them through a baking boot camp over six weeks and challenging them to a series of sweet and savory baking contests, complemented by tutorials ranging from baking the classic sugar cookie to wedding cake decorating.

Blue Moon Too will make its Food Network debut Saturday

Blue Moon Too will join its sister restaurant in Food Network fame when the Federal Hill cafe is featured on the show "Guilty Pleasures" this weekend.

The worst chefs will be eliminated until it's down to the last two, who will go head-to-head in a final bakery battle to win the grand prize — $25,000.

Get your apron and oven mitts ready. The show will premiere on Oct. 2 at 10 p.m. on the Food Network.
