Janet Jackson reschedules tour, will come to Baltimore in August

Originally scheduled for February, Janet Jackson's tour will now come to Baltimore this summer.

After postponing her world tour just before Christmas, Janet Jackson has announced rescheduled dates on her website, including Aug. 14 at Royal Farms Arena.

Jackson, the R&B singer who released her 11th album, "Unbreakable," in October, was originally scheduled to perform in Baltimore on Feb. 29. Jackson postponed the entire tour due to surgery. (Jackson did not identify the reason she needed the surgery but went on Twitter to deny rumors she had cancer.)

Tickets from the original date will be valid for the August show. The tour begins on March 30 in England. Tickets ($39.50-$135) are available here.

The Washington date at Verizon Center will now take place Aug. 9.
