A Phish concert it was not.

Virgin Mobile FreeFest ended Saturday with only three arrests, Howard County Police confirmed today.

According to police, an 18-year-old from Brattleboro, Vermont was charged with possession of a controlled substance and "using a laser pointer where prohibited;" a 28-year-old from Portland, Maine was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia; and a 25-year-old from Fairfax, Virginia was arrested for trespassing.

The few arrests are a contrast to another Merriweather Post Pavilion event: the pair of Phish concerts in June, where 24 people in all were arrested for drug possession, among other charges.

Howard County Fire & Rescue also went to the scene early Saturday to assist a crew member who was injured while setting up a zipline.

The free outdoor music festival, already Maryland's largest, drew its biggest audience - 50,000 - this year.
