On Monday, the Magnetic Fields play a sold-out show at the 9:30 Club. 

On Tuesday, post-punkers Kaiser Chiefs play Rams Head Live ($25). We Were Promised Jetpacks play Sonar ($12/$14). New York City singer-songwriter Alice Smith plays Rams Head on Stage in Annapolis ($23.50).

On Wednesday, country vet Rodnkey Atkins plays Rams Head Live ($25). Hot Chelle Rae performs at 9:30 Club ($15).

On Thursday, rap comes to the 8x10, with Ground Up, A Cool Stick, Kane Mayfield and more performing ($8). Metalcore group We Came as Romans perform at Rams Head Live ($18/$22). Neutral Uke Hotel, the tribute-via-ukulele project from Shawn Fogel, will perform Neutral Milk Hotel's "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" in its entirety at Metro Gallery ($8).

On Friday, Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon performs at Sonar ($20/$23). Rasputina plays the Ottobar ($13).

On Saturday, the Ting Tings perform at Rams Head Live ($25). I spoke with lead singer Katie White last week about the group's new album, the Beastie Boys and more, so expect our feature on the English duo soon. Icelandic folk-poppers Of Monsters and Men perform for free at Fillmore Silver Spring.

On Sunday, the Pretty Reckless (Taylor Momsen, formerly of TV soap-drama "Gossip Girl," is the lead singer) performs at the Ottobar ($15).
