Baltimore’s Beach House is returning to the city this summer to perform at the Hippodrome Theatre after their newest album tour in Europe and Australia.
Beach House, a pop duo founded in East Baltimore, is scheduled to perform at the Hippodrome June 11, according to the tour schedule listed on its website. The band released the album titled “7” in May 2018. Tickets for the performance are scheduled to go on sale March 8 at 10 a.m., according to Ticketmaster.
Beach House bandmates are singer and keyboardist Victoria Legrand and guitarist Alex Scally, who met in Baltimore in 2004 through mutual friends. The two later signed on to the prestigious Seattle-based indie label Sub Pop and have earned critical acclaim and commercial success, The Baltimore Sun reported in 2010.
The band has occasionally returned to Baltimore for performances and for local events like the 2017 Maryland Film Festival, at which they presented the viewing of the 1985 film “Vagabond.”
Maryland concert-goers can vote on the Beach House website for what songs they most wish to appear on the set list for the Hippodrome performance.
