Starting Thursday, you’ll no longer be able to bring a big bag into Cinemark Theatres, according to a notice on the company’s website.

The company — which operates theaters in Towson and Hanover — said that the ban on bags larger than 12’ x 12’ x 6’ is meant to “enhance the safety and security of our guests and employees.” Medical bags and diaper bags are exempt from the rule.

Be advised, filmgoers: the theater doesn’t have a place to check bags, either.
