Wine Market Bistro in Locust Point to close

The Wine Market Bistro in Locust Point will close its restaurant next weekend after nearly 14 years in business.

The restaurant at 921 E. Fort Ave. will close March 17, owner Chris Spann confirmed in an email. The wine shop portion of the business, as well as a bar inside the shop, will remain open after the dining room closes.

“I am proud of the unique history Wine Market has in the hospitality industry in Baltimore,” Spann wrote. “I am blessed to have worked with a who’s who of talented Baltimore chefs.”

The bistro opened in 2004 serving modern American fare and wines from its adjacent shop.

Until it closes, the Wine Market will offer $13 off all wines from its featured list.
