Button cafe and bar to open on Canton waterfront

Button, the companion restaurant to Swim Club at Lighthouse Point, will open Monday on the Canton waterfront.

The cafe and bar located at 2723 Lighthouse Point East, the former home of Canners Row restaurant, will offer “an elevated take on classic American fare,” according to a press release from War Horse Hospitality, the Scott Plank-led company that recently turned the Baltimore Marine Center Pool into an entertainment venue.

The cafe will be led by Chef Allysa Storms, serving salads, burgers, wood-fired pizzas and seafood dishes such as Cajun Chesapeake rockfish with poached egg and dirty rice. The menu will also include desserts, cocktails, beer and wine.

The 1,900-square-foot space underwent $500,000 in renovations, resulting in a warm, bright interior and a slew of hanging plants, according to the release. The space has 75 seats inside, 20 seats with a harbor view and an additional 45 seats on an elevated dining deck overlooking a marina.

Restaurant hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends, including brunch service.
