Oprah gets Pappas crab cakes delivered; says you can, too

Oprah tells the world about Pappas crab cakes

Oprah Winfrey put her love for Pappas crab cakes on the photo-sharing site Instagram on Tuesday.

"Had my favorite Baltimore's Best crab cake delivered. You can too. Worth it!" the famous former Baltimore resident said in her Instagram post.

The original Pappas restaurant opened on Taylor Avenue in Parkville in 1972. The family added a seafood shipping business in 2008, according to Steve Pappas, the son of the restaurant's founder, Mark Pappas.

"We're on cloud nine," Pappas said about the attention from Oprah. "We knew that she loved our crab cakes. She's been ordering from us for more than a year now. We've been shipping them to her all over the world."

There were more than 20,000 "likes" on her Instagram post within an hour of her posting it.
