Nando's in Towson has free food for you on Wednesday

#NandosDash starts at 11 at @NandosUSA in Towson

Nando's Peri-Peri in Towson is giving customers their choice of a free quarter chicken, chicken sandwich or pita sandwich on Wednesday, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

There are a few rules for this promotion, which is called the Nando's Dash. First of all, you have to dine in the restaurant. The give-away is on a first-come, first-served basis, and there's a limited number of seats available, but Nando's says it's going to try to accommodate as many customers as possible.

It sounds hectic, and that's apparently part of the fun.

The Nando's Dash is a popular promotion in the United Kingdom, but this is only the second time it's been done in the United States, according to a company spokesman.

Founded in 1987 in Johannesburg, Nando’s Peri-Peri made its U.S. debut in 2008 with the opening of a location in Washington's Chinatown neighborhood. Nando's USA now operates 20 restaurants in and around the Washington, Virginia and Maryland.
