Among the 385 lots included in an online auction of restaurant equipment from the old Shanty Grille in Ellicott City are an exhaust hood, hanging light fixtures, dishes, skillets, mops and buckets and a sleigh from the 1954 movie "White Christmas," a holiday classic starring Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney.

The sleigh was purchased from the Bing Crosby estate by the Shanty Grille owners in 1980, according to information provided by the Covington, Ga.-based Vision Equipment & Auction Co., which is handling the online auction of Shanty Grille equipment.

Known for most of its years on Plum Tree Drive in Ellicott City as The Crab Shanty, the Shanty Grille was opened in 1978 by the members of the King family, who continue to operate a separate business named Sea King food market.

The sleigh was on year-round display at the restaurant, which the family closed on the last day of 2014.

The online auction is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
