7. Mussina loses perfect game, May 30, 1997

The Orioles have never thrown a no-hitter at Camden Yards, but on this day, they came two outs from a perfect game. Right-hander Mike Mussina retired 25 straight Cleveland Indians when catcher Sandy Alomar laced a single to left field to stop Moose's bid for history with one out in the ninth. He retired the next two batters and had to settle for a one-hitter and a 3-0 victory against a formidable Indians lineup. He struck out 10 and faced 28 batters. It was one of three one-hitters Mussina threw for the Orioles.
