Maryland Wine Festival features 37 wineries

Maryland’s 60 wineries produce more than 400 delicious wines – from crisp dry whites to mid- and full-bodied reds, specially-crafted blends and delightful sparkling wines, luxuriously sweet dessert wines and wonderful specialty wines. Get to know 37 of them this weekend

The 29th Maryland Wine Festival runs Saturday and Sunday at the Carroll County Farm Museum in  Westminster.  The event features live music, food from local restaurants, arts and crafts, wine education seminars and plenty of tastings from Maryland wineries. Regular admission is $27.

Thirty-seven wineries from across the state of Maryland will be in attendance, with over 250 wines  available for sampling and for purchase by the glass, bottle or case.

Also at the festival will be 84 craft artisans, food from 35 vendors, and day-long performances from seven musical groups.

A Premier Tent upgrade, with samples of premium and exclusive wine, a complimentary Riedel wine glass, and samples of cuisine from four area restaurants, including Johansson’s Dining House, Liberatore’s Ristorante, Maggie’s of Westminster and Baugher’s, is available, too
