You might have heard about Donald Trump's recent statement to the New York Times explaining why he doesn't support same-sex marriage:
"It's like in golf ... a lot of people are switching to these really long putters. Very unattractive. It's weird ... I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist."
Wow. What? Talk about a flawed analogy.
Stephen Colbert epically skewered this skewed reasoning on "The Colbert Report" last night. He joked that Trump's logic could be applied to any hot-button political issues.
• Trump's stance on the debt ceiling? "It's bad. Like almond butter. ... What's wrong with peanut butter?"
• Trump's opinion on Medicare? "Nobody wears cufflinks anymore."
• Trump's view of Afghanistan? "Shaving cream's a gel now?"
Too funny. Watch below.
