First Night Alexandria

What: Celebrate New Year's Eve with the harmonies of two a capella ensembles, part of 100 live performances at 17 indoor venues during First Night Alexandria. Professional a capella ensemble Musikanten and the popular College of William & Mary Stairwells lead entertainment that includes Russian folk, rock, jazz and a comedy magic show, along with children's interactive games and a spectacular midnight finale with lasers, video, music and fireworks at the George Washington Masonic Memorial.

Where: Alexandria, Va.

When: Dec. 31; performances start at 7 p.m. throughout Old Town.

How much: Admission is $15 if purchased before Dec. 21. After that, $20. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased online through Dec. 25.
