Delaware Beer and Wine Festival

What: Sample more than 30 Delaware wines and beers at this inaugural event, sponsored by Kent County Tourism. The festival is a first for the region and features tastings and a chance to meet vintners and brewers from eight wineries and craft breweries in Delaware, including Evolution Craft Brewing, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Pizzadili Vineyard & Winery. Tourism officials recently launched a Delaware Wine and Ale Trail, highlighting the state's growing beverage industry.

Where: Pizzadili Vineyard and Winery, 1683 Peach Basket Road, near Felton, Del., just south of Dover off Route 13. Tours of the winery will be available throughout the day.

When: Sunday, Oct. 17, noon-5 p.m.

How much: General admission is $5. Children age 18 and younger are free. Tasting packages are $20 and include admission and five tastings. The festival will also include food and pizza, as well as nonalcoholic beverages.
