'Crab Week' savings at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay
What's the deal? The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay is offering discount rates for its first-ever Crab Week, Aug. 23-29. The resort in Cambridge will feature such activities as crab races, crab walks, crab-cooking demonstrations and a crab-cake eating contest. A "Crabbing 101" workshop will offer a plant tour and family-style crab feast at nearby crab-picking house J.M. Clayton Co. on Aug. 28. Rates start at $159, Sunday to Thursday, and $199 on Friday and Saturday.
What are the savings? Without the promo code, rates start at around $270 during the last week of August.
What's the catch? The daily activities are free, but the crab workshop, tour and all-you-can-eat family crab feast are $30 per person. Rates are based on double occupancy and do not include taxes or the daily $18 resort fee, which covers high-speed Internet and activities like volleyball and miniature golf.
