At the Showboat, another Harrah's property, a party at the House of Blues featuring rock band O.A.R., access to the exclusive Foundation Room nightclub, a bottle of champagne and a deluxe room goes for $799 ($999 with upgrade to a suite) as part of the "Hob Rock N New Year" package.

What's the savings? Overnight rates on New Year's Eve are among the priciest of the year. Rooms at the Showboat for Dec. 31 start at $489. For a few hundred more you get a concert and a behind-the-velvet-rope experience. Priceless.
