Chic Jill-e camera bag
Name:

Jill-e small leather camera bag

What it is:

A weatherproof leather bag with leather croc trim exterior. It holds one camera body, one flash and lenses.

A little less than 4 pounds, it is 14 inches long, 7 inches wide and 8 inches tall.

How it works:

The rectangular bag has movable dividers, four exterior pockets - three with flaps and magnetic catches, one zippered.

The attached straps are long enough to sling over the shoulder, and the bag also has a detachable, padded strap.

There is enough hardware and stitching to make the bag more of a fashion statement than typical chunky camera bags.

The good:

The top has a dual zipper that opens both sides with one pull. I tucked my camera in the front, very handy for getting it out quickly.

The inside of the top flap has mesh compartments that hold disks, batteries and chargers. There is enough room in the bag to stuff in a lot of other things, so I carried it like a handbag.

The Velcro dividers may be reconfigured to best suit your needs, and the interior is a light color, so it's not a black hole inside.

A small, attached, zippered bag for personal items is included. It's a convenient size, and being tethered makes it easy to find.

The bad:

The attached straps could use some padding; they can dig into your shoulder. The attachable strap is padded, but then you're back to the camera-bag look.

The outside pockets, except for the zippered one, are easy to access, making them pickpocket targets.
