Cold-weather closures affect weekend events, attractions in Baltimore

As the windchill in Greater Baltimore dips below zero, a number of institutions and events are closed or canceled this weekend due to extremely cold temperatures.

As of Thursday, Historic Ships in Baltimore closed all of its sites except the USS TORSK until further notice due to the snow and extremely low tide.

Laurel Park canceled live racing Friday and rescheduled races for Monday. And Baltimore Theater Project postponed its Friday reading of “Rabid Dreams of the Master Race” due to cold weather.

And on Saturday, the 32nd Street Farmers Market in Waverly, which runs year-round outside on Saturdays, will be closed due to the cold weather. It will reopen Jan. 13.
