Books: Alexander McCall Smith

The best-selling author of more than 100 books, including “The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency” series, will discuss his approach to adopting Jane Austen’s “Emma” for contemporary readers. (In Smith’s version, the title character is a fledgling interior decorator.)
