Left to right, Army veteran Jim Maness, Hampstead, and Tim Ertel, park ranger, fold a flag they flew over Fort McHenry on Veterans Day. Maness, who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom, purchased the flag in the gift shop for his daughter, Spc. Jamie Maness who is serving in Afghanistan. Ertel wears the uniform of a corpsman in WWI. There were 300 corpsman at Fort McHenry during WWI when it served as U.S. Army General Hospital #2 for sick and wounded soldiers.
