The National Aquarium's newest resident fits in the palm of your hand.
A baby loggerhead turtle has fresh digs at the "Coastal Beach" exhibition, the aquarium announced today. The turtle is part of the National Aquarium's Loggerhead Program, which rescues and rehabilitates imperiled hatchlings, according a press release.
The turtle will be on view for a year before being released into the wild.
The baby does not have name yet, but that will change soon. The National Aquarium will host a public naming for the little one in early 2016.
We suggest one of the following: Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, or, if he turns out to be party dude, Michelangelo.
