"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" may have claimed six Tony Awards including best play, but it was "The Band's Visit" that brought out the broom for a near-sweep of Broadway's biggest honors on Sunday, winning in 10 categories.
"Angels in America" finished with three Tonys, including ones for best revival of a play, leading actor (Andrew Garfield) and featured actor (Nathan Lane). Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Carousel" and "Three Tall Women" each scored two wins, the latter for stars Glenda Jackson and Laurie Metcalf.
