Get to know another side of the candidates for Baltimore mayor at an event hosted by the Stoop Storytelling series next week.

During "The Stoop Mayoral Show," scheduled for April 13 at the War Memorial, candidates will share stories about their first jobs.

All of the candidates are slated to come, according to a news release.

The free event, which is also being presented by Open Society Institute-Baltimore, promises to be "intimate, honest, humbling, funny, surprising." The release also says the evening will be personal, "not political." (Though we're holding our collective breath on that.)

There will be music, food trucks from the Gathering; ice cream from the Charmery, and beer from Union Craft Brewing.

If you can't make it, the show will be broadcast on WEAA-FM and WYPR-FM at a date to be announced.

Food and music will begin at 6 p.m. April 13, and stories will start at 7 p.m.
