Singers of all types and levels are invited to join the Maryland State Boychoir and artistic director Stephen Holmes this weekend for an informal sing-through of two sublime works by Gabriel Faure, the Requiem and the "Cantique de Jean Racine."
The free event begins with registration at 5 p.m. Sunday (July 19). Rehearsal follows at 5:30, with a refreshment break at 7, then a performance of the two pieces at 7:30. The evening will be capped by a reception. If you aren't ready to chime in, you're welcome to attend the performance.
Another "Summer Sing," devoted to Brahms' German Requiem, is scheduled August 9.
