If you're a Turner Classic Movies fan (that channel runs continually in the home of your humble Artsmasher), you don't need to be reminded that March 23 is Joan Crawford's birthday,* because her films are playing all day.
That got me in the mood to share a fabulous tribute to Joan (prepared by a certain someone I hold dear). It incorporates Stephen Sondheim's anthem "I'm Still Here," which he reportedly wrote with Joan in mind. This is a terrific way to revisit the career of a genuine movie star and an oh-so-appropriate song as well (note how perfectly images match lyrics here).
*Depending on the source, Joan was born between 108 and 111 years ago. Makes no difference, really; screen goddesses are ageless.
