The craze for classical pop-up concerts, now a few years old around the world, hasn't run out of steam yet.
Baltimore Symphony Orchestra players sprang up at Penn Station recently with music director Marin Alsop. And on Tuesday afternoon, Peabody Conservatory musicians will be spotted all over town giving short, informal performances.
These "Peabody Pop-Ups," lasting about 20 minutes each, are part of the conservatory's efforts to help its students engage more with the community.
Tuesday's list of venues includes such landmarks as City Hall and Penn Station, as well as libraries and several medical and housing facilities. Most are open to anyone who happens to be in the right place at the right time. All are free.
